Winchester 1897 Riot

The Winchester Model 1897 was an evolution of the Winchester Model 1893 designed by John Browning. The two models were the same except that the receiver was thicker and allowed for use of smokeless powder shells, which were not common at the time. The 1897 also introduced a "take down" design, where the barrel could be taken off; a standard in pump shotguns made today, like the Remington 870.

The Remington Model 760 pump-rifle was made with a 22" barrel and was manufactured from 1952 to 1981. The 760 model used a detachable 4 shot box magazine originally produced only for the 300 Savage, 30-06 and 35 Remington calibers. Throughout production, other calibers were added, including; 270 Win., 257 Roberts, 244 Rem., 308 Win., 243 Win., 280 Rem., 222 Rem., and 223 Rem. Initial production of the 760 had a plain uncheckered walnut buttstock with a grooved forearm however in 1953 the 760ADL version boasted deluxe wood, machine checkering, a pistol grip cap and sling swivels.

The Nova pump-action shotgun was developed by Benelli Armi in the late 1990s and is of unique design due to its receiver and stock being made from f single piece of polymer. The Nova was manufactured to fire the most powerful 3 and 3½ inch magnum shotshells while maintaining reliability and easy operation as well as minimizing shooter discomfort. The tubular underbarrel magazine can hold up to four 3-inch shotshells in the standard version however, with a magazine extension installed, it can hold up to six 3-inch shotshells.

It began its life as a versatile hunting shotgun, and today it is available in many different configurations and gauges each suited for different applications.In the early 1970s, the Remington 870 was officially adopted by the US Military (prior to this, in 1966 the US Marine Corps purchased several thousand Remington 870 Mk.1 shotguns).

The Model 870 was intended to be a reliable, rugged, and relatively inexpensive replacement for the Remington Model 31 in order to rival sales of the Winchester Model 12.
